At The Avalon, we can arrange a specific area in the bar, sit down dinners in the dining room or elegant evenings in our stunning Blue Room upstairs. In warmer months you can also hire our cosy al fresco courtyard. We happily provide buffet and special set menus to suit all your requirements. The Blue Room
If you are looking for somewhere seriously special, The Blue Room is it.
A secret staircase behind the bar leads you to The Blue Room which is built for indulgence. Vintage prints of the legendary Avalon Ballroom in San Fransisco set the scene. Beautiful rococo wall lights create warm and inviting atmosphere whilst magnificent Georgian furniture (including a mahogany dining table seating 20) create a setting to savour.
The Blue Room also boasts a substantial 100 inch high-definition TV with surround sound (connected to a massive on-line film library), a high-spec stereo system with extensive i-Pod based playlist can be fully utilised thanks to soundproofing as well as Wi-Fi throughout.
Looking for somewhere for a business lunch, brainstorming sessions or team away day that can be combined with fantastic pub dining, The Blue Room is ideal for this too.
Courtyard BBQ Parties
Everyone loves a BBQ. They’re even better if someone does all the hard work for you. This year we are launching the new Party BBQ Package. Simply hire the courtyard for up to 80 people standing, adhere to a minimum spend of £400 on food (which can equate to less than just £5 per person!) and we’ll provide you with your own personal chef and the exclusive use of the space, absolutely free.
